Eighth consecutive RoSPA Award for VolkerRail

VolkerRail has achieved two RoSPA awards - RoSPA Gold Medal and a RoSPA Gold Medal: Fleet Safety – from the longest running industry awards scheme in the UK, run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

These awards recognise achievements in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce and acknowledges a business’ health and safety performance throughout the year (these awards mark 2018’s achievements).

The majority of awards, presented by RoSPA, are non-competitive and mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels, however, Gold Medal awards are presented to organisations who have achieved five or more consecutive years of achievement. These awards mark the sixth consecutive year for the RoSPA Award and eighth consecutive year for Fleet Safety.

Stuart Webster-Spriggs, HSQES director for VolkerRail, said: “It’s fantastic that our teams have once again maintained our high standards of safety to receive this recognition from RoSPA. It is testament to their hard work and dedication in creating a positive safety culture.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards have become the key fixture in the health and safety calendar. Highly-respected, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, RoSPA award winners benefit from the wide-ranging rewards of improved sector reputation.”

Both awards will be presented to VolkerRail at a prestigious ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 6 June.
