VolkerRail extends plant fleet with purchase of four new road rail vehicles.
VolkerRail has added to its already extensive fleet of road rail vehicles (RRV’s), following the purchase of two Colmar T10000’s and two Komatsu PW160’s, with associated attachments.
The purchase of these new machines, along with our current fleet of heavy lifting Colmar RRV’s, will allow VolkerRail to meet high utilisation volumes and ensure we continue to have the flexibility to deliver different types of work. All our RRV’s are permitted to work next to rail lines, open to traffic and under live overhead lines.
Colmar T10000FS
The Colmar T10000FS is a 360 degree wheeled excavator with twin cab facility. It has a maximum towed / propelled load of 80 tonnes with four trailers, up to a maximum gradient of 1:25. The T10000FS is the best road rail crane for lifting capacity and piling works in the country.
Komatsu PW160
The Komatsu PW160 is a 360 degree road rail excavator and has a maximum towed / propelled load of 46 tonnes, with three trailers up to a maximum gradient of 1:25.

All our equipment is supported by VolkerRail’s in-house operator/maintainers who have undergone extensive training and are considered some of the best in the country. The team have received regular commendations for their safe, flexible and professional approach.
