VolkerRail receives eleventh consecutive RoSPA Award

VolkerRail continues to be recognised for its commitment to safety by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, having been presented with its ninth consecutive RoSPA Gold Medal Award for health and safety performance and a RoSPA Fleet Safety President's Award for 11 consecutive years of positive occupational road risk management.

RoSPA is the longest running industry awards scheme in the UK, and recognises the achievements in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

These awards are presented annually, with the 2022 results acknowledging VolkerRail’s performance throughout 2021.

This is the second time VolkerRail has received a President's Award for its management of occupational road risk; the first was presented to the company in 2021. The President's Award is the highest award bestowed by RoSPA, and is only presented to companies who have achieved 10 or more Gold Awards – a decade of success.

Stuart Webster-Spriggs, HSQES director, said: “Our continued recognition of safety is testament to our constant desire to ensure everyone gets home safe every day. I would like to thank our employees, and our wider supply chain, for their continued support and engagement.”

Julia Small, RoSPA's achievements director, said: "This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment. All our award entrants demonstrate their unwavering commitment and passion for keeping people safe at work. By receiving this recognition, VolkerRail joins like-minded businesses and organisations worldwide, who represent the very best in their approach to health and safety. You are a fantastic example to others in your sector."
