VolkerRail receives highest Be Well@Work Award
VolkerRail has received the Gold Be Well@Work Award, demonstrating their commitment to the health and wellbeing of their employees.
The Be Well@Work initiative is a workplace health award scheme, run by various councils in South Yorkshire, and provides a framework for businesses to work towards, when building good practice in workplace health and wellbeing. There are three award levels: bronze, silver and gold, with businesses having to satisfy all three levels before being awarding the top standard.
Stuart Webster-Spriggs, VolkerRail’s HSQES director, said: “This award is a testament to the commitment of all at VolkerRail, and how - as a collective - we are continually improving employees’ health and wellbeing - both at work and at home.”
Kirsty Thorley, Be Well@Work Doncaster Council representative, said: “I have always been impressed with how seriously VolkerRail considers employee health and wellbeing, and with the enthusiasm from which they coordinated their initiatives. It is evident that VolkerRail is an organisation that truly values it’s team members.”
The award is valid for two years with the option for reassessment at the end of this period.
