LNW signalling power supply renewals
VolkerRail has been appoint to replace the existing signalling supply system, as part of Network Rail's London North West (LNW) signalling power supply renewals project.
The signalling supply system on the LNW route between Warrington and Carnforth has reached its life expectancy.
Our teams carried out the renewal of the LNW 650v signalling power supply distribution between these locations, as principle contractor for all associated Grip 6-8 works including civils, E&P and signalling works as outlined in the AFC designs.
The team replaced feeders, de-energising the existing feeders and connected the existing signalling equipment to the new infrastructure between Barton to Lancaster.
Work was completed in 2022.
